Tokio Hotel  between Art and Culture

They are the most famous German 20 years old, that made nuts and excited the world with their last cd Humanoid (followed by the science fiction “Humanoid City Tour” who took place in 32 European cities and who is now ready to get approval overseas also; there, where no one of their compatriot has never dared),and received success recently crowned by an amazing performance at MTV World Stage live In Malaysia on last July 31 in Kuala Lumpur. The German band leader of sold-out,gold records and prizes who never missed since 2005.
But you know, prejudices are hard to die.In worldwide and not least in their homeland who saw them become successful, fed them with the national fame that allowed them to become star, doesn’t miss bitter critics from people stuck to their nickname as “boyband built just to give pleasure for horny teenagers”,people who aren’t able to look over by judging merely and incorrectly their style,by ignoring all improvements, the growth and sacrifices that led 4 young guys to become international stars.
Apparently it’s a cruel downside. But not so cruel if you think that elsewhere, always in their homeland, there is still someone able to view, instead of see;able to listen, instead of hear only.
So here you the teenagers band become source for culture and artistic inspiration.
Last year,at the Federal Republic of Germany’s 60° anniversary, German magazine Sterne created a sort of multimedia journey through the time, inserting Tokio Hotel among the most important historical, artistic and cutural events of nation.
Really important,in kids’ education too.
At Tübing Kinder-Uni (Kinder-Uni=University for children,is an interesting initiative led by some Germany universities.Periodically they leave some kids from 8 to 14 accessing at university, where a professor choose a topic and explains it in a simple way, accompanying with a discussion or so) doesn’t miss a lesson about Tokio Hotel popularity, held by Udo Dahmen, art director and teacher at Popakademie Baden-Württemberg of Mannheim and famous drummer who knows music for sure, since he perfomed with artists such as Sting.
However,it’s when art combines with art that results become sensational.
Them, the dream-artists par excellence, become protagonist of many arts on canvas.
Like Georg Weise ones, known painter and sculptor in Berlin who let us to admire since 2006,two young Bill and Tom Kaulitz among the “Urban Boys” paintings in Sophie Edition Gallery.
However, going forward in the years, the Weise “successors” chose to use only one of twins: at the Kunsthaus in Meerane (Germany),next to an impressive portrait of Pope Giovanni Paolo II,you will find a Tom Kaulitz painting made by Axel Wunsch from Chemnitz.
In spite of,the Berliner Ulla Enghusen got frontman Bill as protagonist of one canvas,in a riot of shapes, lines and shocking colors you can see on her website http://www.ullaenghusen.de/seiteportraits.htm.

“Won’t you be my inspiration?” Dolores O’Riordan sang.
Art calls and Tokio Hotel answer: for who is able to view, just like us.
