Vogue Experience IX

You can see Bill and Tom's cover;)

 This was a day celebrating Franca Sozzani’s first five years as Editor-in-Chief of L'Uomo Vogue. Five hundred Vogue.it readers spent a special Sunday taking part in the ninth Vogue Experience.

Covers from the magazine were on show at Sotheby's Milan, the famous auction house based at 19 Via Broggi – an exclusive exhibition that was a fascinating part of this latest Vogue Experience.

The Editor-in-Chief of L'Uomo Vogue and Vogue Italia met readers in person, posing for photos and answering questions put by the invited guests.
About the auction;
Last night in Milan the second chapter of the celebrations for the five years of Franca Sozzani at the helm of L'Uomo Vogue was held at Sotheby's, in via Broggi, following the Vogue Experience that took place on Sunday. A real turning point in the world of fashion magazines, which introduced a new editorial concept, marking the end of expressionless models and of fashion for its own sake,  creating a new space dedicated to images and words that has soon become a reference point as regards not only style but also culture, art, entertainment.

Testifying such revolution, the 87 covers shot by 23 among the leading photographers of our time are now on display in the airy spaces of Sotheby's Milan branch. Besides Franca Sozzani, other guests included L'Uomo Vogue managing editor Gianluca Cantaro, art director Luca Stoppini and Cesare Cunaccia, alongside fans of the monthly magazine such as Marta Marzotto, Federico Marchetti, Pierpaolo Ferrari, Paola Manfrin, Virginia Galateri, Massimo Ponzellini, Alessandra Facchinetti, Coco Brandolini, and Editors-in-Chief Luca Dini, Michele Lupi and Carlo Antonelli.

Selected covers will be put up for auction on 19 January at Sotheby's in Paris and proceedings donated to Fashion 4 Development, the United Nations supporting partner of which Franca Sozzani has been appointed Goodwill Ambassador. The event has been organized in collaboration with Citroen and BNL
