London! Paris! Moscow! Those world cities will probably be listed on the next Tokio Hotel tour poster. Incredible! Sensational! The four guys from Magdeburg started their shooting star career in Germany only just seven months ago. Ever since then Bill (16), Tom (16), Gustav (17) and Georg (18) have achieved what most bands dream about all their lives: Millions of fans, 400,000 sold albums, two Number One CDs, the best-sold tour by a newcomer of all times, [they] received the biggest awards of the country (very recently [they received] the Echo [award] last Sunday). And now Tokio Hotel are close to their international breakthrough. That’s because the band’s success story did not go unnoticed by label execs and concert promoters. There were already initial secret negotiations at the Brit Awards ceremony in London a few weeks ago. Some of the world’s biggest stars appeared at that mega show: Prince, Sugababes, Madonna. However, behind the scenes the most important people in the worldwide music biz were only talking about one band that wasn’t even present on that evening: Tokio Hotel. BRAVO was exclusively around when Tokio Hotel’s management was downright besieged at the After Show Party. Now everyone wants to have the awesome songs by Tokio Hotel. And the guys from Magdeburg can hardly wait – because they want to conquer the world. The mega news: Bill will also be singing in English in the future! To put it plainly: now the vocals for the whole album have to be re-recorded. The four guys are already getting private lessons. However, for the upcoming weeks the most important subject will be English! And that’s not all: they’ll be home even less. And they’ll have even less time for their friends. Nevertheless, nobody wants to go back to their old lives. “However, we’d just be playing in the basement again should we ever feel like it someday!”, Bill reckons. Though being international stars means there’s a completely different live awaiting the guys for now: in the future they’ll probably be at home in the biggest hotels. Maybe even finally in Tokyo? Because that’s the biggest dream for the Magdeburg guys. To be playing in front of a huge audience in the Japanese metropolis one day. Though, in spite of all the success the band keep their feet on the ground: “You just have to work a lot for this success. After all one always imagines it to be differently – nothing but luxury, cool shootings and very huge stages!” Bill thinks. The huge concert venues have become reality by now and the media are scrambling for appointments with the guys. A year ago the four of them wouldn’t have dreamed about it being like this. “The main thing is that we can still make music for a long time!” Tom says. “Of course we’re enjoying the success. One shouldn’t get too caught up in it because there can be times where it might not go so well. One always has to keep that in mind!”
