Androgynous models:
Perhaps just as much as the title of this article attracts you- but beyond the myths, modesty, beliefs and skepticism we are facing a significant step of universal identification of human beings on earth, being androgynous.
Here is a glimpse of what the Gods and pop culture can tell us about how to take advantage of a race that, although almost "extinct", has been with us before our very creation.
The androgyne:
Two sexes in one being
Traditions of East and West, north and south, coincide, with a strange unanimity, that the first being who was born, lacked sexual differentiation. It was male and female all at once. The Greeks called it androgynous, Andros:
Man and Ginos: female
*******
Inspired Designers
The fashion and craze for androgynous models dates back decades ago when the house, Doir, during one of it's campaigns, showed two "women": one naked and another model with a suit. In our time, large firms such as Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, Pierre Cardin and Helmut Lang started designing "unisex" products. However, it wasn't until 2009 when a U.S. agency specializing in trends, said the androgynous or unisex style had began to cause uproar in the streets of New York among adolescents, then spread throughout the world.
The prototype of androgynous models is also present in the celebrity world, those whose features are rather similar to the opposite sex. For Example, popular singer Justin Bieber, who at the beginning of his career posed for the androgynous magazine, "Love"
Bill Kaulitz who is the image and vocalist of Tokio Hotel: at 23 years, he has strived to do other things, like; acting and modeling. He is considered one of the most famous androgynous men.
Andrej Pajic is the "Top Model" of the world, according to even fashion designers, such as Marc Jacobs, Tommy Hilfiger and Yoana Baraschi, the beauty of this man is "not of this world." Thanks to this "rarity", Pajic has modeled in multiple Runways such as, the Runway of his discoverer Jean Paul Gaultier in Paris in 2011, designer Custo Dalmau's runway in their collections NYFW for Spring-Summer and Autumn-Winter 2011, in the first he dressed as a man and as a woman in the second. He ensures that if necessary, he could get breast implants to Model for Victorias Secret.
The stereotype it sells
The growing presence of androgynous bodies in the media has caused discomfort among the most conservative-minded, who immediately feel the need to classify or censor everything. Beyond radical positions, the fact is that most viewers are used to seeing standardized bodies in stereotypical identities.
example of this new boom* is the new TV commercial for the Toyota Auris 2013 (known as the Corolla in most of the world), its main character is the Israeli transgender model Stav Strashko, a 19 year old born in Ukraine. In the video, Stav moves towards an Auris taking off her clothes, while the slogan : "not a trend, not casual, Not for everyone" appears in Japanese.
The morbidity: Advertising Strategy
it is impossible for a male model to replace the female structure of models, however, designers invite them to the catwalk to attract attention .. In some of the most famous Runways, that take place in various parts of the world, transvestites and transsexuals are those prevailing among the models, to the curious gaze of the spectators.
