Bill: It's strange and I'm not used to speaking in German again. (Reina laughs). Well actually we looked for a goal back then and we chose Tokyo because it's far away.

Bill: We thought we wouldn't never reach this goal and it sounds good.
Tom: Right.
Bill: The sound was important to us.
Reina: And you're one of the most successful German bands in the last 20 years..
Bill: Our success happened accidently and we're having the advantage that we're a naturally formed band. We got to know each other on our own and we're really good friends! I think that's what makes the success special.
The band's average is 22. Reina (interviewer) prepared something to get to know the boys a bit more.
Reina: There're different pieces of paper in this box with words written on them.
Bill: Okay! "The vacation"!
Reina: What would you do if you would have one week of vacation tomorrow?
Bill: I would get a flight to the Maldives!
Tom: When we're on vacation we don't do anything, just relaxing, nothing exhausting. That's why we laid on the Maldives so far, doing nothing, maybe only a bit jetski.
Georg: The next is "the pet".
Reina: I've heard all of you've got pets. Dogs.
Bill: Dogs, many dogs! Tom and I have four dogs.
Reina: Four?
Bill: Right, it always happened accidentally I have to say. We wanted to rescue/protect them from the animal shelter and convey them to over people. But you may know, once you're there and see them you wanna make them your own dogs! Meanwhile we've got four but I can imagine to have even more dogs!
Reina: I see.
Tokio Hotel on "the Germans".
Bill: Tom and I for example are always on time. I hate to wait, I'm impatient. One says Germans are like this.
Reina: What's good of German?
Bill: It's our mother tongue for sure! We have a very special connection to it. For sure. And when we're far away from home like today in Tokyo, and able to talk in German to you. It's somehow special.

The band causes lots of attention in music business and in the fashion world! Reina gives them some gifts. Foxtails are very popular among female students.
Bill: Are they real?
Reina: No, they aren't.
Bill: Oh that's good.
Georg: For the car!
Reina: No, it's not for the car. You can put it here or there..
Tom: You're sure they aren't real.
Bill: You can wear it as earring.
Gustav: GEORG!
Bill: Thank you so much.
Reina: You're welcome.
At the end of the interview, the band members tell their mottos.
Tom: Yeah!
Bill: Can you read it?
Reina: (reads aloud) Live the second. Yeah.
Tom: Once in a while you have to remind yourself to do it [live every second]. Often you just forget about it because you're working so hard. You forget to enjoy/live every second.
Bill: Sometimes you have to remember you're in Tokyo right now.
Reina: Right.
Bill: You look out of the window, there's Tokyo! Wow.
