With their global chart success and the recent release of Humanoid Special Edition, Tokio Hotel's highly anticipated visit back to Singapore was further heighened. The band took time to meet their Singapore and Asia fans when they were here for SingFest 2010 on 3 August 2010.
The German quartet performed during the first night at SingFest 2010, with their hit-loaded science-fiction-rock-mash-up opus on set. Nevertheless, the band felt that the performance was not enough for their fans. What could be a better way to thank the fans? An autograph session, of course!
Before SingFest, Tokio Hotel was here recently for a fashion event.
We did not have time to really meet our fans when we were here the last time. We really want to thank our fans for their support. The autograph session is a great way to meet them", says lead singer, Bill Kaulitz.
Held at Bugis Junction, Bugis Square @Level 1 on the evening of 4 August 2010, fans alike were waiting in high spirits for the German band's very first autograph session in Singapore.
Despite having to rush to the airport for their flight the very same evening, the band managed to autograph for almost 500 fans that brought along their Humanoid Special Edition CDs, - all within 30 minutes. The band was also showered with gifts and letters from the fans.
Tokio Hotel's popularity will continue to rise. Besides scoring two number one singles in Singapore for "World Behind My Wall" and "Dark Side of The Sun", their Humanoid Special Edition CD album also topped the chart at number one position here.
In addition to the Humanoid Special Edition CD, Tokio Hotel also recently released their Humanoid City LIVE CD and DVD.
