Tokio Hotel Still Has The Best Fans In The World
Yesterday
we were watching the MTV European Music Awards in Amsterdam and we got
all excited when we saw that Tokio Hotel was nominated for 'Biggest
Fans', but because their last record and gigs already happened a few
years ago, we didn't have very high hopes for them to win the award this
time. After all, they faced competition from hugely popular acts such
as Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, One Direction and Lady Gaga! We know since
the year that the band took part in our second 'Fashion against AIDS'
campaign (2009) with their 'Rock Hard F**K Safe' T-shirts that Tokio
Hotel has very loyal fans, but would they make it this time? In one
word: YES. As Bill Kaulitz says in the 'Thank you' video that the band
put on Facebook just after the win (he was there with his brother Tom;
no idea where George and Gustav were, but I guess the twins are back in
Los Angeles): "We just have the best fans in the world!" If the fans are
so fierce now, expect them to be at least doubly so after the new
record comes out later this year. We can't wait!
