2005 Bill picture: Super boy! This is how Bill enchanted millions of girls around the world.
2005 – Manga hairstyle, eye make-up, cool clothes –
in the summer of 2005 Bill Kaulitz (who had just turned 16) steps into
the limelight with his band for the first time and becomes a teenage
super star over night. Total hysteria: teens totally freak out! The hit
single “Durch den Monsun” stays Number One for five weeks! Bill enchants
the hearts of millions of girls and becomes a cult figure of a whole
generation!
2006 – New look for the first tour: Bill presents
himself with black extensions, his eye make-up has become even darker
now! At the end of 2006 he gets voted “The most annoying German” in a
Pro7 [TV] show. Mean!
2007 – The second album “Zimmer 483” gets released.
Bill seems more mature, his facial features are more prominent. The long
mane is real, only a few white highlights have been woven in. Bill
rocks!
2008 – Tokio Hotel take a break, Bill spends time on
other projects now. He dubs the main character of the animated film
“Arthur and the Invisibles 2”. Bill wears his hair spiky, ruffled now,
the fingerless gloves become more and more of a trademark!

2009 – Pressure to succeed: The recordings for the
album “Humanoid” (released in October 2009) take longer than planned.
The stress can be seen by looking at Bill, his weight loss is radical,
his look keeps getting more androgynous, his new hairstyle gets mocked
as [looking like] a “broom brush” online.
2010 – New York, Paris, Moscow: TH are at the height
of their career, [they] tour the whole world. Bill presents himself in a
posh punk look – his outfits keep getting more and more extreme, his
style turns him into a fashion icon. Bill is a worldwide star but can’t
cope with the stress anymore.
2011 – Tokio Hotel go into hiding. The band can’t
follow up on their former successes, are worn out, harassment by
anti-fans increases. TH are stuck in a crisis, Bill has more and more
health problems, is as pale as death and is skin and bones.
